At the present time In The South East Essex area there is no establishment up and running for
teaching practical experience, as the local colleges do not have the facilities, or
allocated funding, for this type of teaching.
Thanks to Channel 4's programme "Time Team" the present day interest in Archaeology is moving
forward in leaps and bounds. However in this part of Essex there is an apparent void
for new enthusiasts. It is Ages-AAA intentions to bridge this void and become a focal
point for the local population and a source that they can turn to for reference and
where ever possible teaching programmes.
